NBA parlay picks Jan. 24: Look for Anthony Edwards to bounce back
The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking a bounce-back performance after a shocking home loss last time out, and Anthony Edwards should be able to help make that happen.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking a bounce-back performance after a shocking home loss last time out, and Anthony Edwards should be able to help make that happen.
The pregame narrative: Edwards and the Timberwolves are on the road in DC, where I like the shooting guard to hit the over on his points prop. This +315 NBA parlay also backs the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers on an underdog spread and an alt over for the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs matchup.
Parlay: Edwards over 28.5 points + Cavaliers +10.5 + Thunder/Spurs over 237.5 points (+315)

: Coming off one of the worst shooting nights of his season, this is a great spot for Edwards to bounce back.
Last time out, Edwards had just nine points on just 3-of-11 shooting as he and his Timberwolves teammates made a concerted effort to fuel Karl-Anthony Towns’ 62-point night. But Wednesday’s matchup could be Edwards’ time to shine.
The Washington Wizards allow the most points per game (124.9) and the second-highest field goal percentage (50.0).
Edwards has gone over this number in exactly half of his past 20 games, and tonight’s matchup looks like a prime opportunity to do so again.
Other picks
: This seems like a lot of points to be able to bank with a Cavaliers team that’s on an eight-game winning streak — with one of those wins coming in blowout fashion over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Cleveland beat Milwaukee, 135-95, in Northeast Ohio this time last week. Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t play, mind you, but that’s still a massive scoring gap.
And given the turmoil in Milwaukee — as the Bucks just fired head coach Adrian Griffin — tonight could be another chance for the Cavs to come out with a win. Or at least a cover.
Cleveland has gone 7-1 ATS during its eight-game win streak. Milwaukee, meanwhile, is 1-10 ATS this month.
: This matchup seems like it was built for an offensive explosion.
Both the Spurs and Thunder play fast, ranking third and seventh, respectively, in pace. And while OKC is one of the most productive outfits on offence (sixth in offensive efficiency), San Antonio has one of the most inept defences (sixth-worst in defensive efficiency).

OKC and San Antonio have both hit the over at a rate of 58.1% or better this season, and it’s no wonder they have the highest over/under of the night.
The Thunder, playing on a back-to-back, have hit the over in five of six matchups this year on zero rest.
