Trudeau’s budget leaves voters feeling negative about the government, according to new poll

The Tories鈥 lead in the polls remains virtually the same as before the budget, with 38 per cent of respondents supporting the Conservatives, and 20 per cent the Liberals.

If Justin Trudeau鈥檚 Liberals hoped the 2024 federal budget 鈥 branded 鈥淔airness for Every Generation鈥 鈥 would be remembered for its focus on housing and tax increases on the wealthy, they were right, a new survey suggests.

But if they thought it would improve their fortunes in the polls and give them a boost against Pierre Poilievre鈥檚 Conservatives, they will need to keep trying.
